What Happens on Delivery Day
Once you have ordered, we get in touch to arrange a day that suits you, rather than sending an automated all-day slot. We will also confirm your postcode, whether you have added installation, and anything about your home we should know in advance.
Who turns up
Our own team delivers, not a courier and not a subcontractor. If anything needs sorting on the day, you are talking to the people who were actually there.
Getting ready before we arrive
Check the doors, hallway and any stairs the appliance needs to pass through, and mention tight turns or steps when you book. Leave space to park close to the house if you can. If we are taking your old appliance away, please empty and disconnect it beforehand, we cannot remove food, water or washing from inside it. It also helps to measure the gap it is going into one more time before we arrive.
What installation and disposal covers
Where you have added it on the product page, our team fits the appliance, tests that it works, and takes the old one away. The price depends on the appliance.
- Small appliances, disposal only, £10
- Most free-standing large appliances, installation and disposal, £35
- American-style fridge freezers, £55
- Fitted work, meaning an integrated appliance, a hob, a built-in oven or a cooker, £105
A gas connection is always carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer we work with.
What we cannot do
Without the Gas Installation service booked on the product page, we cannot connect a gas appliance ourselves, that work has to be certified by a Gas Safe registered engineer we work with. Our plumbing covers the appliance's own connection, not general household pipework, and we cannot take an old appliance away if installation has not been booked alongside it.
Your old appliance
Taking your old appliance away is part of the paid installation and disposal service, not a separate charge and not a free extra. It is taken away with the delivery.
Delivery is 1-3 business days once your order is placed. If a delivery slot does not suit you, you can choose in-store collection at checkout and pick up from 142 High Street, Scunthorpe instead.
